What is a virtual conference?
A virtual conference isn’t a webinar or online training - it is an immersive opportunity which delivers the conference experience; including engaging keynote presentations, topical content, industry presentations and networking opportunities.
Virtual conferences offer the same learning, knowledge sharing and networking opportunities as a regular conference you may have attended, with the key advantage of using an online platform connecting geographically dispersed attendees.

How much is the conference?
Registration for the conference has now closed.

Early Bird (closed Thursday 24 September)

Non-Member - $155.00
Associate Member - $35.00

Standard (from Friday 25 September)
Member - $75.00
Non-Member - $195.00

All rates above are in Australian dollars (AUD$) and are inclusive of the goods and services tax (GST).

Do I have to register for the full conference if I only want to watch a few talks?
Yes, there are no day or session registrations.
However you do have many other talks you can watch after the conference is over. It's all included in your pass.

What's included in my registration?
Registration includes access to all live-streamed sessions, access to sponsors and exhibitors, networking opportunities including the Welcome Reception and recordings on-demand for 12 months.

Will there be any recordings available?
All sessions and recordings will be available on-demand for 12 months.

Do I need to download any special software?
No additional software is required to access the conference, and you are not required to download any videoconferencing software. All the streamed sessions will be browser-based. 
All you need is access to a device which has a stable internet connect and an internet browser.

Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge are not recommended as they do not include modern features and is incompatible with live streaming, meeting matching, and other key features.

You don’t need a camera or a microphone for the conference.
All interaction is through your typed comments in the “chat” boxes in the sessions. You also have the capability to private message attendees on the website directly, similar to Facebook Messenger. Simply find your colleague in the “attendees” area of the website and click their profile. There is a “send message” button at the top of their profile page.

Completing Your Profile
To get the most out of the upcoming ANZMOSS-ANZGOSA 2020 Virtual Conference we recommend completing your virtual profile. Your virtual profile will be how other delegates, exhibitors, sponsor and speakers interact with your profile throughout the event.
To fill out your profile comprehensively please have the below information ready:
  • Profile Picture (Optional)
  • Job title
  • Location
  • Professional Bio (Optional)
  • Social media links (Optional)
 Profile Setting: If you make your profile public, you will be able to interact with other delegates and other delegates will be able to interact with you. Without activating your profile as public, your details will not be viewed.

How do I move from room to room to view sessions?
There will be two (2) rooms available to view across the conference days. 
We will turn on the live stream functionality. This will enable a menu button labelled "Watch the Event". On the day, the live streams will be published in this page. Simply click on the room you want to enter.
The Live Stream page includes;
  • When + where information in the header
  • Video stream (showing a count down timer before the stream starts)
  • Live stream chat
  • Questions below the Video stream
  • Live Stream Agenda, detailing the day's Agenda
During the day you can move between rooms freely and choose what content you want to experience.

Live Stream Chat
On each live stream page there is a chat box next to the video feed. This is a great place to engage in discussions during the event and all attendees can contribute to this chat. All chat messages are public and this acts as a parallel stream of discussion while the Presentations are taking place.

Engaging With Sponsors & Exhibitors
During the event, Exhibitors & Sponsors will be available to chat and engage with. Navigate to the sponsor/exhibitor page by clicking the Menu item for Sponsors or Exhibitors and then clicking on their logo. Once in the page you can;
  • Click "Connect With" in the header to send a contact request to the Sponsor/Exhibitor team. They will reach out to you and can arrange a suitable meeting time
  • Click "Chat" in the header to start a chat with their team immediately
  • Browse the various Resources and content that Sponsors have published
  • Click on the team members and connect directly with one or more staff
By interacting with the exhibitors, you will go in the draw to win the exhibitor passport prize!

1:1 & Group Chat
If you navigate to any Speaker/User/Exhibitor/Partner/Sponsor page, in the top contact bar there is a Chat button. Clicking on this Chat takes you to a private chat page with that person/company representative(s). These private chats are great to discuss certain topics or to liaise with a company rep during the event.
You can also click on the Chat button in the Menu to go back to your chat list and continue chatting or create a new group chat with the + button

People’s Choice Award
This is your chance to vote on the presentations and E-Posters available to view on the platform.
All you need to do is rate the presentation by giving it a star rating at the top of the screen! The e-poster or talk with the most ‘5 stars’ will be considered for the People’s Choice Awards.
Welcome Reception
This is a great chance to get social and join with others in your ‘bubble’ for a wine and relax. If you would like to use your camera, it will be the perfect chance to see everyone on screen and join in some fun with our MC Darren Isenberg as he hosts a very social and interactive welcome reception.
